These cost-effective network security appliances, offer stable performance with low power consumption

With over 30 years’ experience in Industrial Computer and Networking Appliancedevelopment, Acrosser Technology will substantially increase further its efforts in expanding its networking appliance lines in 2018. Acrosser networking appliance lines include micro boxes and 1U rack mounts in 2017, and will soon add 2U rack mounts in 2018, and integrated hardware, software and firmware together to fulfill customers’ needs in UTMSD-WANSDNNFV and v/uCPE and others.

In its micro box product line, Acrosser offers compact throughput and unparalleled high-performance telecommunication experience. The optimized system design allows network systems to function in a small footprint and form factor. In this particular segment, theAND-J190/J180N2-C612, equipped with Intel® Celeron® Bay Trail J1900/ J1800; delivers exceptional high performance. On the other hand, the AND-G420N1, equipped with AMD® G-Series GX-420MC, 4-core@2.0GHz, 2MB L2; is a great alternative for the budget-conscious buyers. These cost-effective network security appliances, offer stable performance with low power consumption; and are suitable in multiple security applications including:network intrusion preventioncontent filteringdata leak prevention, VPN and unified threat management (UTM).

In its 1U rack mount product line, Acrosser again offers its customers high-performance telecommunication experiences across the board. The standard 1U rack mount form factoris the network appliance that allows multiple network security applications to work under the X86 architecture. In this segment, ANR-C236N1 series is the mainstream 1U-rackmount platform, equipped with Intel 7th Generation Kabylake-S Xeon E3 v6 /Core i7 /i5 /i3 CPU. All models support 12x GbE ports and 4 pairs of advanced LAN bypass function that allows for uninterrupted operation of a serial network, and prevents node failure on the network in the case of power failure. In addition, the ANR-J190/J180N2-C612, equipped with Intel® Celeron® Bay Trail J1900/J1800, are the entry-level network appliances offering cost-effective high-performance solutions in 1U-rackmount form factor.

For 2018, Acrosser Technology will further invest its valuable resources in developing even wider range of network appliances, including more technologically advanced rackmounts and micro boxes. Acrosser will integrate hardware, software and firmware together to fulfill customers’ needs in UTM (Unified Threat Management), SD-WANSDN (Software Defined Network), NFV (Network Function Virtualization), v/uCPE (Virtualized /Universal Customer Premise Equipment) and others.

Solutions for Intel latest endeavor

The following describes how Intel is enabling the transformation with its 4th generation Intel Core processor family based on the Haswell microarchitecture. Boasting up to 15 solutions higher performance, 2x faster image and signal processing, up to 60 percent faster graphics, newly flexible high-speed I/O, and enhanced security, this platform offers major upgrades over its predecessors. As we will see, the new processors deliver scalable, robust performance for applications ranging from machine vision to machine diagnosis, from building controls to operator panels, and even top floor administrative servers solutions. In addition, the platform’s new security and manageability features make it well suited for the highly connected, Internet of Things-enabled factories of the future.

Throughout history, new fanless embedded systems have transformed the manufacturing industry. From the invention of steam engines to the introduction of computerized controls, these technologies have led to enormous leaps in productivity and quality. Today we are at another turning point. The introduction of embedded systems and Internet of Things technology are enabling unprecedented data sharing and analysis, turning previously disconnected manufacturing systems into an efficient, highly responsive whole.
